what is involved in putting grass into a paved courtyard

l wanna put grass into my courtyard. to do that, we wanted to knock out the 
Chupachups
tiles, but we arnt sure how much concrete there is under there! is it

possible to put some soil straight onto the paving stones and then put the

is it paved or concrete? if it is concrete it maybe about 4to6

in. thick not as thick as a foundation because it dont hold as much

weight. this area is just for walking so not much weight is stressed on

this area. you can remove all of the area, crack up the concrete add top

soil then grass. remember if you just crack it up with out removing it,

it may become hot in the summer & cook the grass which would die, or water

there is a tool just for that you can rent at home depot like a  
Zarren
drill hammer or something, if you add soil to the tiles more than likely it
